Short motor and battery lifespan
Most electric bikes have hub motors incorporated on one of their wheels. And while they are efficient and reliable during the first two years, then tend to gradually wear out.
Their short lifespan is due to perpetual contact impacts and shock from the wheels face during cycling. Especially on rough or bumpy roads.
Eco Expedition Electric bikes, on the other hand, are made with 250 watt brushless motors mounted on the rear axles. The brushless feature leads to a greater lifespan for the motors, with fewer parts that can wear out or break over time. The lithium battery also provides an extended durability, lasting up to 1000 charges before its range starts to decline.
Limited range of miles per charge
A problem many electric powered bikes face is a low range of miles per charge, making it extremely difficult for riders to go on long trips or cover long distances.
