250 watt motor
Mounted to the rear wheel, a 250 watt brushless motor provides phenomenal levels of power to the rider. The motor is perfect for making light work of steep hills and long journeys allowing you to relax and enjoy the view.
Adjustable pedal assistance
A choice of 5 assistance settings lets you to decide exactly how much (or how little) assistance you require from the motor at any given time. Quickly switch between Low, Medium or High whilst on the move.
Up to 35 mile range
Offering a range of up to 35 miles from just one single charge of the battery, our bikes are more than capable of getting you to your destination and back with ease. Where would you go with yours?
LCD display
Newly introduced and mounted to the handlebars, a large screen LCD display shows useful data such as remaining battery life, distance travelled and speed. It even features a handy backlight.
Lithium battery
Providing power to the motor is a lightweight (yet powerful) 36 volt lithium battery. Lithium technology boasts both lighter weights and extended durability taking you further, for longer!
Fast charging
With a full charge taking between 4-6 hours, our lithium batteries wont leave you waiting for long before you’re back on the move. If you can’t afford to wait, a spare battery can be fitted in seconds (not included).
Cruise Control
Cruise control can be activated at the press of a button. Maintain your current speed (any speed under 15.5mph) without any need to pedal, perfect for cruising in open areas.
Walk assistance
The eco Expedition now features a clever “walk assistance” mode. At the press of a button the bike will ‘walk’ you along the pavement or road effortlessly.
Quick release cable
The cable that feeds the motor features a quick release connection. Should you ever need to replace the rear tyre, the rear wheel can be removed far easier without fear of damaging the bikes circuitry.
Motor mounted to rear wheel
Research shows that the overall user experience on an e-bike is improved greatly when the motor is mounted to the rear instead of the front. Rear wheel drive offers greater traction when climbing hills or accelerating.
Hidden cables
Our bikes electronic circuitry is concealed neatly within the bikes lightweight frame. This helps to reduce the chances of electronic cables getting caught, snagged or damaged whilst on the move.
Weighs just 20.5kg
A heavy bike means less range from the battery, poor manoeuvrability and handling. Weighing approx 20.5kg (including battery) the eco Expedition electric bike is easily one of the lightest in its class.
Quality Shimano parts
Featuring quality Shimano EZ fire levers and Shimano Tourney gears, no compromise is made on quality. Ergonomically designed Shimano EZ fire brake and gear levers fit comfortably in the hand.
Sealed bearings
The eco Expedition now features sealed bearings in both the headset assembly and front wheel. We have also upgraded to Neco brand headsets which come pre-assembled and provide improved performance.
21 gears
A greater number of gears gives added flexibility when riding with or without powered assistance. Should you turn the motorised assistance off or run out of battery having the right gear makes life easier.
Adjustable front fork suspension
Featuring both pre-load and lock out adjustment, the front fork suspension on this bike helps to provide a smoother and more comfortable riding experience.
18 inch aluminium frame
Reducing overall weight significantly improves the overall performance and range of an e-bike. Our lightweight aluminium frame helps keep weight down to a minimum and helps the battery go further.
26 inch tyres
A larger tyre size means for better handling and stability. In addition, compared to smaller tyres, larger tyres need fewer rotations to travel the same distance giving you better efficiency from the motor.

Im not a massive cyclists at the best of times, but just this morning did a 7.6 mile ride up and down verying inclines and didnt even break a sweat…awesome….went straight up an hill which we all call cardiac hill here in the area and didnt even have to stand up..lol brilliant ! PRICE Awesome.. BUILD QUALITY Awesome, Absolutely nothing to complain about.. Oh yeah and the Customer care line is second to none. If your on the fence.JUST BUY ONE, you wont be dissapointed.
grainger100 –
I’ve had this bike now for a couple of weeks, I absolutely LOVE it. Quality build, easy to assemble, got 48 miles on my first charge using assist level 3! Fantastic bike, only problem is my daughter keeps “borrowing” it. The advice of another reviewer is spot on Just Buy One!!!
Simon –
The Eco expedition has exceeded my expectations by a mile. It has made the trips out with the horse a real pleasure, no more dreading the big hills! Power delivery is smooth and quiet. The bikes construction is superb quality, I teach welding and I’d be happy if my students could put aluminium together that well. Securely packed and delivered promptly, assembly was a doddle, without any fiddly setting up of gears. The only down side is my partner wants one to give the horse a rest!
Geoff Waterhouse –
Putting my eco expedition bike’s claim of about 35 miles range to the test, I took it on a couple of 35 mile runs. I tried to use the battery sparingly (it does pedle easily on zero assistance) but I did have to use a couple of levels assistance on the outward journey as I was faced with a stiff wind. Even though I also used assistance on a fairly steep hill, I still arrived home with only half the available battery power used. For a real test, I took the eco expedition round a 35 mile section of the Forest of Bowland. This included the infamous Boundary Hill between Lancashire and Yorkshire, a test for any bike. Although I had to use level 5 of assistance for the last section of this climb, it cruised up with ease – albeit using a quarter of my available battery power. I still made my journey with a full quarter of my available power intact. For anyone considering an electric bike for whatever reason ( mine is advancing years, 77, and a dislike of long hills and cycling into wind) I would recommend the eco expedition. A robust bike at a comparatively reasonable price.
Mark Boase –
What a great bike! Only used it a handful of times so far but it has performed perfectly. I set it up myself as it was almost ready to ride out the box. The power assist is amazing, my commute to work is very easy now, eats the hills up with no effort needed. Would highly recommend this bike to anybody
Ryan Hearn –
What can I say about this bike! It’s amazing bit of kit been riding up steep hills not even broke out sweat I would defo recommend to anyone!! I even used it yesterday In the snow and rain had no problems. Well worth the money .
Kevin –
My first e-bike and am very impressed. Very easy to set up straight from the box with only slight adjustment needed to front brake. Gears are superb and needed no adjustment at all, although, as noted in the manual, some cable (and spoke) adjustment may be required as bike is ‘worn in’. Used mainly for road cycling with some on trails. Rides great with no power assistance helped by 21 gears, but really comes into its own when power applied. Did a lot of research into these bikes and the eco expedition was by far the best value for money, with features not usually offered on many more expensive bikes. It also looks great!
Rick –
Got one of these bikes just before Xmas to cycle the 10 miles from home into the new office in the city everyday. I left leaving the review for a few weeks cause I just couldn’t believe the bike could be this good for the money.
It is nothing short of a revelation. I cycle 5 days a week, save a fortune on trains/tubes, get a seat every day no sweaty arrival requiring a work shower. It’s just a totally perfect solution.
The bike rides really well and has more than enough power to do the job perfectly.
Myles you are superstar!
Wayne –
Very pleased with this bike excellent quality and excellent value for the money, it does exactly the same as far more expensive bikes, the walk assistance is great and it’s fabulous on the hills, received it on the Friday a friend saw it on the Saturday and he placed an order for one on the Monday, he’s received it and also thinks it’s brilliant value, excellent service from this company. Definitely recommend this bike.
Chris –
A fair review wouldn’t be a fair review if I didn’t point out this bike’s very few minor flaws. The curve and taper of the handlebar made fitting a light & GPS mount tricky, but not impossible. A couple of the mounting holes for the rack and front mudguard needed the threads clearing of paint; easily done. The reflector mounts were the wrong size and type for my tastes and needed replacing. The biggest concern, however, is that the charger to battery plug sparks when plugged in. Although this is fairly normal for a high voltage charger, I can’t help but feel that some people might be taken aback by it and perhaps a switch in the DC line might be a useful future improvement. And that really is everything bad that I can find to say about this bike.
The gears and brakes worked straight out of the box and were pretty well set up apart from a lack of crimps for when the cables need trimming. These will need adjusting as the cables settle in, but that’s normal for any new bike. Ditto with the spokes. Not badly set up but will need constant supervision for the first few hundred miles. To be fair, the manual does warn of this.
With the power set to zero, this rides just like a ‘normal’ hard-tail MTB. Maybe a tiny bit heavier, but not noticeably. Once you start to apply the power, however, it’s a whole new adventure in cycling. I live in Lincolnshire, which has very few hills but is always windy. The few hills we have just don’t exist for me anymore and the headwinds are way less annoying. Pulling out of tricky junctions is a lot easier with the power on 1 or 2. Not really had the conditions to fully explore the highest power settings much, but I suspect that this will make hauling pannier loads a doddle. I’m not as yet getting more than about 20 miles out of a battery charge, but as it has only been charged a couple of times it probably hasn’t reached its full capacity yet
Would I say this was as good as other e-bikes at twice the price? With a full set of gears with proper trigger changers, decent disc brakes and a light, responsive construction, I would say it’s a lot better!
Greg Hearn –
Very pleased with the two electric bikes i just bought, great price and fantastic help on the hills .So pleased i bought them.
Linda Young –
Omg I love my bike it is just what I wanted a bike firstly then electric for hills it is brilliant. I took it to halfords to do the assembly cost £40 but we’ll worth it and even the guy assembling it said it was a very good electric bike. So pleased with it and the price is excellent
Shaun O’Connell –
Great,i couldn’t ride my old bike anymore ,I could no longer manage hills. This is exactly what I needed. Myles was relay good . I had to change the seat and bar grips, and a chain-stay protector as well.i have had it insured ,put mud guards on and a rear carrier .I realy love this bike ,
Les Barden –
I’ve just come back from a weeks holiday in and around Peterborough and I’m really pleased with my bike .it really makes cycling enjoyable again. Hills are eaten up by this bike. It doesn’t even feel like your going up hill.. My only problem was I couldn’t seem to run the battery down to flat IT JUST KEPT GOING. smashing bike I shan’t be going back to my old one. Anyone want to buy a non eco bike (ha ha )
Diane –
A really good price for a really good bike. I’m very happy with it and so glad I found your website
Phil Willett –
6,000 miles since Oct 2016. No problems except new set of tyres.
Rob –
Really good value for money !!!!
Just come back from a weekend of camping. The bike managed the steepest of hills and hardly touched the battery.
Top product!!!
Shane Drake –
Got my bike about a month ago and could not believe how good it was. Hills not a problem. Communication and customer service excellent. Would recommend this bike to anybody looking to buy an electric bike. Thanks Myles and your great team.
Peter Ganden –
Found my e bike very easy to ride hills are not a problem any more
Kevin Puttock –
Couldn’t believe the bikes when we first rode them. So easy getting up hills now with just a little assistance or a lot if we’re feeling lazy. Brilliant! Myles was extremely helpful and a nice guy to deal with. Thanks
Mark Applegate –
Excellent customer service, great communication and support. Very pleased with bike. Have changed the saddle so comfort matches assistance. Just what I needed an can get up the steepest hills :O) Thanks Myles
mark amery –
Hi this is the 2nd bike we have ordered from Eco Expedition ,the bikes are great well made and ride superb, service is also 100% good work guys, look forward to dealing wiith you again .if you after a great bike the Eco Expedition is the bike for you.and at the right price regards mark
Brian Steele –
This is a extremely well made bike. It was well boxed and all the gears and brakes were spot on.it is a joy to ride, and you have all the extra power to use if required. I was amazed how powerful the bike is and you only need full assistance for the steepest of hills. You still can comfortably assist the motor without being exhausted. The choice of power levels or no assistance is up to you. The bike is absolutely OK to use without assistance but you have the option up your sleeve if you need it. The display computer has all the info you need and is easily viewed. I wish I had bought this bike years ago. I can 100% recommend this bike. Brilliant.
Bob Morris –
This my 2nd bike, the 1st was stolen. I was very happy with the first one so I bought another!
It is well made and doesn’t take long to unpack and set up, brakes, gears all set correctly. I particularly like the 5 power settings, just add more power for the steeper hills! I use this bike mainly for exploring the local byways and bridleways on the Berkshire downs, it takes the rough and bumpy tracks in it’s stride – perfect. Highly recommended bike.
Phil Willett –
Bike arrived 4th Oct 2016 the day after placing my order (see Phil below). Have just cleared 2,500 miles with no problems and bear in mind that’s over winter! Did contact Myles by chat with a query (how to remove the back wheel should I have a puncture) and he phoned me right with the information. Great bike, great backup from a team that’s 100% behind their product.
Sue Wilson –
Bought my bike last autumn with a lot of reservations……would it be the right size, what if I didn’t like it…..a lot of money to shell out when I hadn’t even sat on the thing…..all proved unnecessary. The more I ride this bike, the more I love it. It has changed my idea of cycling and something that was dreaded is now enjoyable. It makes light work of the hills, is very easy to use, very comfy (I did put a different seat on) and I have yet to use more than half the battery charge.(Longest ride of 30 miles)
I live at the base of Holme Moss and so live with hills everywhere – but this baby takes it all in her stride and very easily. Do not regret this purchase one bit and would recommend anyone to buy.
Trevor –
what a fantastic bike this is. I have been looking for a electric bike for a long time now, I saw this one, so I pre ordered it off the website, I love riding this bike, I travel to work and back home all the time. Riding up hill is like you are getting pushed up it, and down hill, well, it free wheels down. Buy one, you won’t regret it, I did not.
Lorna –
Fantastic bike. I bought it so I could keep up with my grandsons on long hill climbs. It gives me the extra power I need when I need it and allows me to improve my fitness easily. The grandsons can’t wait till I’m fit enough to tackle the hills alone so they can ride it instead of me.
TJ –
My Wife and I have had our bikes for nine months now. They have been totally trouble free. We find that because they are “proper bikes” we will ride them normally and only use the battery power when the hills are a real challenge or we need that extra “spurt” to get round a roundabout, out of a junction or overtake. So the charge on the battery lasts for ages. All times we’ve been away this year they have been put on the bike rack and taken with us and always attract interest wherever we go with them. These Bikes are great value for money, very robust and Myles couldn’t be more helpful.
Pat –
Bought this bike for my wife about a month ago. Easy to assemble. My wife is thrilled with it as she can now keep up with me. Really impressed.
Bill –
Bought this bike a fortnight ago for my wife. She uses a bike every day and the journey includes a fairly long climb. This e-bike has transformed the journey! When ridden without any electrical assistance on level ground the bike does not feel unduly heavy and as such can cover many miles without using the up the battery. The bike has just had it’s first charge, having covered 58 miles. The quality easily came up to our expectations and now my wife would not be without her “wizz-bike”. Many thanks to Myles for his assistance in the purchase.
Tamas Horcsak –
I bought the bike 7months ago I’ve done over 3300km. It’s awesome. I can only offer! Tom
Kenny –
Have bought 2 bikes for my wife and I and they are brilliant. Easy to set up straight out of the box. An absolute pleasure to ride . Many thanks .
Stanley Hunt –
a great bike no problems have done 200mls so far 43mls on one charge
Ron Leavesley –
At 69 yrs old I’ve struggled with some of the hills in North Wales, and riding against the wind. The Eco bike has enabled me to enjoy once again my favourite hilly routes between Bala & Lake Vynrwy. The motor really does help even on some of the steepest climbs. I had a few teething problems when the bike was received, but these were soon sorted by Miles. I have
given the bike several good road-tests and I am suitably impressed.
Alan –
Fantastic bike really does make cycling fun. Being 62 and not having cycled for many years i was pleasantly surprised at how easy it makes cycling both on and off road. Bike arrived next day well packaged and was very easy to assemble. Have done just under 100 miles including one ride of 28 miles which only used 50% battery. Only minor problem is the battery rattles (especially off road), but this can be sorted by inserting a piece of thin foam rubber between the battery and its holder. Would recommend to anyone. Myles has been very helpful both before and after purchase.
Phil –
Just cleared five hundred and twenty five miles over twenty four days and loving it. Great bike with excellent back up from Myles and his team.
Watch out for more orders from the Blackpool area Myles!
Tony Crowe –
Having met Myles three weeks ago and tried out a bike at their office, I had no hesitation but to buy one there and then. Myles kindly set up one for me and helped me load into car to take home. As a COPD sufferer (lung disease) I was concerned it would still be an issue with getting short of breath, even with assistance from battery. Should not have worried as I have ridden it a few times now and on one occasion did 8 miles without stopping and no problem with being out of breath. Would recommend this without hesitation and must thank Myles for excellent service and assistance with purchase.
Peter –
Bike arrived well packaged. The downloaded instructions were good so bike assembly was reasonably straightforward. Have had it a few weeks now and everything is fine, have done about 40 miles and have not needed to charge battery yet, good considering I live in Cornwall (lot of hills). A lot of bike for the money. Excellent.
Robin Todd –
Excellent Communications and Delivery. Bike is First Class. Got my First Hundred miles in Already.
John Newcombe –
Bike arrived the next day with free delivery, got my bike assembled by a bike mechanic (recommended) after a few teething problems, and most of it being down to me getting used to the bike. Done about 50 or so miles, this bike is a dream to ride, steep hills no problem, very good battery life, LCD display has so many features, once you get used to, it’s amazing. In my opinion a £2000 electric bike is not going to be much different to a ECO bike, so at the price of £839.99 it,s a bargain, oh, and one last thing, any help you need with the bike the customer service is excellent.
Tony Birdwood –
17/09/16: The bike arrived safely earlier in the week – only last night and today did I get round to putting it together!! I took it out for a run this afternoon – I am very impressed: not only does it ride nice and easily as an ordinary bike, but, once the power is on WOW! The roads round here in west Wales seem to be uphill whichever way you go – I only have it on setting (1), and it goes like a train!!
Thank you for your help and advice during the purchase
John –
Had my bike a couple of weeks now. I cant believe how easy it is to get about the hills in South Wales go on forever and I can now cycle up them with ease. The bikes are well built and sturdy and the customer service is really great highly recommended supplier .
Marilyn –
After an initial hiccup with the battery which was sorted by Myles with no problem, I cannot believe the difference the bike makes to my cycling. Living in Devon with all the ups and downs it is a joy to go out. Absolutely recommend this bike to anyone young or old.
Anton –
Had mine a couple of weeks now and it’s great. Only been for short rides so far but it will do the trick and help me get fitter with less risk of a heart attack! I would recommend getting a professional to build the bike and set it up for you. Money well spent I can assure you! Only one problem – the saddle is very uncomfortable for someone of my weight (21+ stone) but I’ve invested in a gel filled one and it’s again proved a good investment. Looking forward to getting below the 20 stone mark in a couple of months. Great product!!
Dave –
Superfast delivery!! Couldnt believe it was delivered that fast!! Easy build and setup. Great ride, feels solid. Well worth the price.
Barry Willis –
Excellent service, but cannot comment too much as have only ridden the bike once so far. Well made though!
William –
Bike arrived as promised, next day.Despite living in northeast Scotland. Instructions made it very easy to put final parts together. The bike is well made and put together.
I have had the bike now for a few months and travelled more than 200 miles,on and off road and love it. With the 5 power levels you make it as effortless as required. I have covered 25 miles with power level 5 for a few miles and still have quarter of battery life left.
I have found at this level takes around 3-4 hours to recharge battery.
The only gripe which is same as other reviews, gearing can feel a bit low. Feels like an extra gear could do the trick..
Overall very happy with the purchase. If your thinking of buying, just do it. You won’t regret it..
Richard Drane –
Very pleased with my new bike, covered about 100 miles now with no issues, very nice to ride with or without power. I mostly run on level 2, so the battery lasts really well. Downsides are the low gearing as others have mentioned & the front forks are a bit clunky, but overall, i love it!!
mark ayers –
recently purchased eco ex from myles. I am very pleased with the bike. it arrived next day as promised. the performance is just as described and cycled over 25 miles on one ride with plenty of battery life remaining. hills are just a gentle work out now. I have fitted a sprung seat post to aid comfort as its been a good few years since I last cycled. one slight niggle was the battery rattled during use but was easily remedied with a small piece of foam. overall the eco ex is a quality bit of kit that I would recommend
mark ayers
Terry Burnett –
Dear Myles.
Just a short note to say I am absolutely delighted with the ECO Expedition, just been out on the bike for the first time and could not believe the performance I had suffered a broken spine and although recovered I could not contemplate cycling…………then the Eco Exp arrives!
Although you should observe the pre ride checks my bike was perfectly assembled and the gears and electronic needed no adjustments.
Fantastic after sales support from Myles.
Alwyn Evans –
The best thing since sliced bread! The bike is brilliant to ride with very little effort. It’s also extremely easy to change power settings. The only slight gripe is that the top gear could be a little higher to reduce pedal speed. Overall, excellent!
Pat Bartlett –
excellent bike-v well made.website v informative.Seller was v. helpful .buy one!
Joseph –
My expectations so far have been fully met. As a relatively new addition to the Ebike market, the Eco Expedition represents excellent value for money and I fully recommend it wishing to purchase an electric bike.
tim cook –
fantastic value for money, I have had my bike for a few months and on / off road just brilliant.
if i had one slight negative comment it would be that the gearing could be slightly higher but overal it is the best purchase i have made for a long time. its also manufactured to a very high standard.
Eddie Walker –
Great bike, excellent quality components, love the gears the best I have ever had.
All my friends are really impressed with the look of the bike,as it does not look like a electric bike.
As other people have said this really does put a smile on your face, love it.
Mike Barton –
An excellent bike. My wife has found hills a problem on her old bike, but with the Eco Expedition hill worries are a thing of the past even though we live in a area with quite steep gradients.
The telephone backup from Myles was extremely good even outside business hours.
Mike Barton
Peter Wicks –
I was a little sceptical about electric bikes since dabbling with them about 10 years ago, but after doing some major research and looking around for best value, best looking and best quality, I came across the Eco Expedition and duly ordered one. Well, what an awesome bike! I live in Devon so was a little worried about how the Eco would cope with all those gradients the county is known for. On the first ride those fears were dispelled. It has coped beyond my imagination and has given me the incentive to get out on 2 wheels so much more now. Top quality components, great looking and well mannered, if you’re looking for a quality Ebike at a brilliant price, this is the one!
Brian Farrant –
Bought two bikes and have found them great, my one had suspension lock up which Myles changed on a Saturday even though he is not normally open. Looking forward to trying them out at Rutland water.
Mark –
My Alison, 60 year old long confirmed non-cyclist, has now clocked up 50 odd miles and is still grinning from ear to ear as she was on the day we first tried out and collected from you on the 8th of May, the day before our 35th wedding anniversary. The effect has been transformational and has now enabled us to finalise our plans for a cycling tour holiday that was only a very distant/forlorn hope before the Eco Expedition came into her life/our lives !
It’s a really well integrated and sorted pedalec with no bad habits and brilliant value for money. I was also considering converting an lovely but unused Scott Contessa (guess who’s) stood idle in my garage for years but to be honest I’m so pleased that we discovered the Eco Expedition. The beauty of it is that you can put in as much effort as you are able to and adjust the level of assistance to suit, the more you pedal, the further the range of the bike, so you can pedal the bike as a normal well equipped mountain bike and when you get tired and need a bit of respite, just dial in the assistance. Alternatively, set it to level 1 (of 5) assistance and you can pedal for 40 miles in relative comfort. From our fantastic experience – including Miles friendly and helpful service – If you were considering it ….just get on with it, I can guarantee that you won’t regret it !
Thanks Miles.
Bill Dadswell –
For my 71st birthday in April 2016 I treated myself to an Eco Expedition bike having visited Myles with a friend beforehand in Medway and having a short trial run.
I have cycled since the 1950’s and have reached that time of life when uphill cycling gets more difficult.
This bicycle has performed faultlessly and is a real joy to ride. I do not get out of breath but it nevertheless means I continue to keep fit as your legs are pedalling all the time (unless free wheeling downhill). I rarely feel the need to go above assist level 2.
I cannot speak too highly of this bicycle or the team that supply them.
Have fitted a rear view mirror that slots in the end of the handlebars which I find very useful.
Tom –
A fantastic bike, just how I imagined it to be like. Very impressed with quality and performance. Such a light bike for electric and very powerful. Really like how all the cables and control box is all neatly hidden. Every ride is so easy and more comfortable now, I look forward to every ride from now on. Highly recommended company and service. Many thanks.
keith Lake –
Great Product and does exactly as described . Really lightweight compared to my other E-Bike so an improvement and easy to use in terms of functionality .
Keith Lake 19-04-2016
Geraldine Konkol –
Great bike which is very easy to ride and looks good. Being a novice rider I left my husband way behind on the hills which was brilliant for my ego, but not so much for his!! He rides his mountain bike regularly and we enjoyed a nice ride out together instead of an endurance test for me. I would thoroughly recommend this bike as it was certainly money well spent.
Mike Rogers –
I`ve been out several times on the bike and I`m very happy with it. My last ride out I did 67km and still had plenty left in the tank.Brilliant!!
Lorraine –
First day I’ve been able to get out on the bike, Wowser what else can I say, it’s really easy to use, I left my partner standing on his racer bike up the hills here is South Yorkshire, I love it, thank you so much Myles for the next day delivery, I couldn’t be more pleased with the bike, I’ve just now got to figure out how to get the battery out to Cape Verde where we are moving to this year 😄
Lorraine
Keith –
Absolutely fantastic bike, recieved my bike a few days ago, very easy to assemble and I have ridden this more times than I have ever ridden any regular pedal bike in the last 5 years.
The powered assistance makes pedalling easy and I suddenly find myself looking forward to hills which is very odd to write. The bike gives me such a bike push its like im riding down hill all the time which is very nice at my age.
The display on the handebars is also very nice and looks great, the bike is extremely easy to use and far better than I expected it to be – Best money ive ever spent!
mike ryan –
Love this bike. It everything it was claimed to be. If you are thinking about it, be good to yourself and buy one.
Ray Fisher –
Having not had much fine weather since October I haven’t ridden many miles on my machine yet but what I have ridden have really enjoyed. Don’t use the E a lot as the bike rides easily without it but very useful as my local terrain is very hilly. The great advantage of the E is at roundabouts and junctions/lights, I can now whizz away and slip freely into the traffic, had a few niggles with the bike, a creaking crank easily tightened and a rubbing chain, had a squeaky front brake too but all sorted easily. Will not be using my bike off road until the ground firms up so cannot comment on that but i’m sure it will be great, all in all a great piece of kit and recommended and i am now looking forward to a Great British Summer to get those longer distances under my belt, fingers crossed!!
Adrian –
The bike arrived perfectly packaged. Though recommended to get it configured by a professional I was able to easily set up the bike with a few tools. The battery was fully charged so like a child I immediately went for a ride. The controls are intuitive and easy. I particularly like the gradual assistance making riding so easy. The button to add electric assistance is great for steep hills, though it is easy to forget to change the gears due to the available assistance.
I did find that my battery re-charger caused my electric supply to fail. I contacted Myles and a replacement charger was checked and then sent to me.
A superb bicycle and a joy to ride. Good value for money – electric bikes are expensive but the Expedition bicycle really does provide value for money.
At speeds over 15 mph the assistance ends. I feel that the battery could help riders to higher speeds but think the regulations prevent this.
Great value at £750 – if you are considering an electric bike, then at £699 this should definitely be considered.
Adrian East Sussex
Alan Williams –
My wife and I brought two Eco Expedition bikes. I have a heart condition but need to exercise. An electric bike was suggested by my consultant (he has a Giant).,not only were we impressed with the product but so was the bike shop that assembled them for us. Having now used them twice the only thing we have changed is the saddle as we are both tall and fairly large. My wife’s bike has been fitted with full mudguards and mine with mountain bike guards. We are very pleased with the quality of the cycle parts all Shimano disc brakes, Gear sets and crank sets, and leavers. To sum up Great Bike to ride, Very good value for money and Very good after sales service. Would I buy again from this company you bet I would.
Louise Bruce –
I’ve had my bike for about a month now and I absolutely love it. It’s very quick on the flat and goes like a bomb downhill. But it’s the power assistance uphill that counts and this bike is a winner. Give it full power and whoosh up you go and that’s even without the Lycra. The battery life seems good although I haven’t fully tested it on a 30 plus mile ride. I’ve done several 15 mile rides and there was still plenty of battery life left.
I have had two punctures – hedge cutting season and blackthorn all over the place. My friend changed the tyre with no problem. I understand that some e-bike tyres are a bugger to get off.
I’m a 67 year old woman and I can easily lift the bike onto my tow ball mounted carrier. Takes about half a minute to get it on and off.
If you like to travel by bike but feel the hills are a major turn-off, for whatever reason, this bike will keep you in the saddle. You can make your ride as easy or as hard as you like and your fitness will improve in a pleasant way, not through the ‘no pain, no gain’ method which is pretty up appealing as far as I’m concerned. This bike is fun to ride, easy to ride and it looks normal. It’s defo not a granny looking bike. If you’re not sure if you need an electric bike then you probably do. If you’re getting on a bit, like I am, it’s a no brainer as they say
Now for the techie bit. It seems to have an engine of some sort.
Myles is very helpful and always answers any queries you might have.

I did considered to buy a bike for some time, the final decision to buy an eBike was after I and my wife went on a ebike tour in Santorini, Greece. I asked the two people who took us around island a bit more about ebikes, and as a professional ebike company their bikes were around 5000 Euros, however with few good tips I started to look for ebikes. The reason I ended up with the expedition ebike was due to two main things. 1st it has a 36volt battery with 10ah which from my reviews of ebikes around the internet is very good. 2nd item is the 21 gears, as being a hybrid car owner the times when you run out of battery power you want to make sure you can still continue to ride easily enough, and having 21 gears helps!
Other goodies, included in the price was front disc brakes, and front suspension, which again makes the bike ride much better.
The easy bit was the price, for sub £800 you get a superb bike.
I have only had the bike for a week but have been further on this bike than I have ever been on a bike for a long time. The extra power to get you up hills etc is just brilliant, you really feel the difference if you test and ride the bike with the power switched off! Also, the throttle option is great, especially when you want to quickly cross a road.
Will but another bike for the wife as she could easily keep up with my on this ebike 🙂
I recommend it highly, based on the price and all the included goodies.
I would also recommend, as a person with previous heart attack, with an ebike like this one you can ride most places without having to raise you heart rate too much and keep you within safe limits, while still getting exercise!

I have had this bike for a few months now and have had the opportunity to take it on multiple rides on varying terrain.
I live in quite a hilly area and was uncertain as to how it would cope on the hills on Tarmac, let alone off-road, however, I needn’t have worried; in my experience it goes from 0mph to well over 10mph on seriously steep inclines in seconds (although I am quite light). Even so, I am yet to have a car overtake me on the flat high street and the speed off the lights is phenomenal.
Yesterday after a rain storm I threw it around the woods down some dirt trails, and whilst it does feel a bit like a tank at times given the extra weight (relatively) the power is incredible & I left everyone standing – even those fit enough to run ultra marathons. What’s more amusing is that very few people spot that this is actually an electric bike, so there are some very confused faces.
Despite being quite young, I suffer with Late Stage Lyme disease, so struggle on a daily basis with strength and energy levels. This bike is the difference between being able to join my partner on bike rides, or not, so it really has had a huge impact. Thank you Myles!

I have had my bike for a few weeks now so I could give it a good test and I have to say I am so glad I purchased the expedition bike it has been great to get back out cycling more and not have to check the wind direction and plan a route around the worse hills!,I had to pre order it as it was out of stock, which I was a little unsure about doing n this age of internet scams etc but after contacting Myles (who has the best customers service attitude I have had with any online purchase) he allayed any thought of being left with an order and no bike!! when I received the bike I had a couple things sorting out with Myles which he did very quickly, since then the bike has covered quite a lot of miles around Cornwall (so really testing the up hill help) the one thing I agree with from other reviews was that the top gear seemed a little low so I was running out of leg speed to keep up with the bike! so I ordered a 11-28 freewheel from the USA and now have it fitted which has made things a lot better.
Keep up the good work Myles.

Fast delivery a real bonus although it took me longer to arrange for a bike mechanic to assemble the bike (as recommended) but I’m glad I did because there was a problem with the ‘headset’ (not sure that I would have realised this on a self-assembly) …. however ‘full marks’ to Myles who was very prompt in taking the call from my bike mechanic and agreeing for a new headset to be bought and fitted (rather than my returning the bike) so what could have been a big issue was very quickly rectified …. great service!
So to the bike. It’s been a while since I rode a bike and I wanted an electric one to give me confidence until fitness levels increased. A mountain bike also provided the opportunity to ride the many off road tracks, cycle ways & bridleways around. I saw the ecoExpedition and was impressed with the spec so decided to take the plunge. Although it’s early days I’ve not been disappointed ~ riding nearly 20miles the first day with relative ease was a real confidence booster. I’m not sure sometimes that the electric bit is kicking in but I decided to try some big hills and then its a real bonus so I’m gradually getting used to how it all works but so far I’m impressed and very happy with the purchase.
Criticisms so far are the VERY hard saddle (easy to replace) and the fact that it would be nicer to have some ‘higher’ gears for the (occasional) speedy sections of my ride; I’ve not really used the very low gears ~ not necessary with the ‘electric kick’. I’d also like to have some novice written guidelines (as well as the assembly instructions) e.g. adjustment of front suspension, use of the 3 electric settings BUT I can’t fault the help/support offered (by Myles) when I’ve asked.
Too early to give 5* but so far so good!

I really didn’t know what to expect from an e-bike when I bought this but I’m glad to say the gamble has paid off and the more I go out on the bike, the more I enjoy it. I find myself leaving the car at home for more short trips, saving lots of money on fuel and also the environment. Plus there are lots of road works near where I live at the moment, so instead of sitting in queues of over an hour I breeze past on the e-bike. It also makes for good back up transportation when the car breaks down and I can easily commute the 8 miles to work in about 45 minutes. Hills just don’t slow me down any more which takes out the worst part of cycling for me.
The only criticism I have of the bike is that the seat is quite hard and uncomfortable and could do with some longer gears for high speed cycling, but it is a mountain bike after all. For the money this is an excellent value for money product.

Fantastic!
I haven’t ridden a bike for over 30years and my husband purchased this bike to help me exercise, I suffer from Arthritis in my knees and hips and was struggling. I have had this bike for two weeks and have been on it every day and I am loving it. It is easy to pedal and I only use the electric when my knees start to hurt and going up hill. I haven’t done enough mileage yet to comment on the battery life.
I would recommend this bike.
Thank you.

I purchased this cycle some two weeks ago after looking at various e bikes on the market. The Eco cycle offered the best package at a great price. I ordered it and it arrived on the following working day. I assembled it straight from the box and having had previous cycling experience was able to get it ready for the road in matter of minutes. I suffer with chronic pain in my back, neck and knees and have a great passion for cycling that I could not satisfy using my traditional sport inspired bicycles. This bike was intended to allow me to continue my love of cycling without the discomfort. I must say this is one of the best things I have bought and it really does live up to the reviews. The power comes in smoothly and I use it almost everyday. I go to my Yoga classes on it that is a 12 mile round trip without a problem. With regard to Myles and the customer service it has been brilliant. My bottom bracket was faulty and this was not a fault with the cycle itself but just a faulty part. The fault would not have been discovered until it had been ridden a few times. It was very noisy and eventually I had to leave it at my local Halfords. The part was changed for the sum of £10 and Myles refunded me the costs without question. I have fitted a pannier rack (disc brake compatible) and have some Ortileb roll top waterproof panniers. I also fitted some Velcro strapping to the battery to make sure it sits snug in its holder to prevent any rattling. I intend to upgrade the grips, saddle, suspension seat post and possibly a computer trip meter. Today I met my mother for lunch and there is a very very steep incline up to the restaurant and on power level 3 I pedaled up it with any effort at all. I would highly recommend this bike and you will not be disappointed. I will send Myles some photos of my kitted out cycle in the near future and maybe he will post them up.

I have had an ‘iZip’ E Bike for the last 4 years as I loved biking but had developed a knee problem, and felt it was time to get something more modern.
Having done much research I spoke to the extremely pleasant and helpful Myles, as it had come down to a ‘toss-up’ between the Eco and the Burisch… both ‘lookers’ and both with a centred C of G slightly biased towards the rear wheel, and not off to the side like the weight of the currie motor on my iZip.
The Eco won on price and number of gears, and Myles’ great attitude.
Out of the box, anyone used to maintaining their bike will find assembly easy – just go careful and softly on the headset, and then wait for the battery to charge while you sit and dribble over your beautiful new acquisition…. good looking bike!
The first ride brought a great big smile to my face, ( just be warned that putting the 3 way switch on 3 gives you a big shove in the back) and a mental note to EBAY a different saddle, suspension seatpost , adjustable angle headset and mudguards.
Have had the bike 2 weeks now and LOVE IT, despite a couple of minor niggles (like sometimes if I use the throttle in PAS 3 position it stays on full chat even if I let go, but a touch on either brake sorts it, and there’s an irritating psst psst psst noise from the front disc or PAS mech on every wheel revolution, but easy sorted I hope.
Great fun to ride, value for money, and many envious looks and comments, plus ‘Kudos’ from your mates…. what more could a man want? Its only the wife that calls me a cheat, and that’s only sour grapes because she’s the one behind all the time now.
My verdict… Buy one!

I got this bike a few weeks ago and I have to say iam delighted with it. I am in my 60s and not very fit so thought one of these would be a fun way to fitness with the marvellous pedal assistance.
I did find the seat too hard for my not-very – padded bum, so replaced with a big bum one by Selle Royal — now it’s like an armchair! Thinking of raising the handlebars a bit too, as I prefer to be a bit more upright.
Only one tiny niggle; I have to thump the switch on the handlebars to turn on the battery, which the guy who assembled it ( a professional) said was not the case when he put it together.
Once I get a bit more confident ( having not ridden a bike for many a year) I shall be using it for all my shopping trips instead of the car…..
Think I’m going to have to hide the battery when I’m not using it as I can’t keep my 15 year old son off it!

My partner has a Freego. Having had a go on it, and also having recently struggled on hills on holiday in Devon, I decided to get an E bike. The Freego ‘s were too expensive other than the Raptor but this only has one chain ring in the front and 7 gears on the back. So I looked at the Eco Expedition amongst others.
I did wonder if all these positive feedback a had been ‘Groomed’ by the company or perhaps negative ones filtered out.
However, I made the leap and purchased the bike after a long conversation with Myles. It came 2 days later and I was riding by the end of the day.
Honestly, it is an ace bike. Without the battery or with the battery off, it handles like a normal bike. It free wheels really easily, which some electric bikes don’t because of the magnets in the hub. The motor is really quiet and the battery discrete.
No regrets and excellent value for money.

I have had my bike for a couple of months now, but due to illness i have not been able to ride it much til now, having made a few changes to the bike which i have already mentioned in an earlier review (may 14th) i have since put on some bigger tyres schwalbe marathon plus 2.0×26, which makes for a better ride, a Humpert ergotec 9.0 suspension seat post with 40mm of travel, also i have fitted old school top mount trigger shifters as it make changing gear so much easier, so i then had to change the brake levers for some Avid fully adjustable ones, the bike is much better for these upgrades, and the only thing left to do is change the rear gear cluster as the 14 tooth 7th gear is too low and i am pedaling too fast at almost 20mph i have a cluster that goes down to an 11 tooth on order which i hear is a good upgrade to do, i will let you all know how it all goes, if anyone else has any ideas or suggestions please let us know.

This a great bike.
I first tried the bike without any electric assistance and it performed just as a normal mountain bike so any extra weight the bike has was unnoticeable when riding it.
I then tried the pedal assist which took a bit of time to get used to it, mainly getting used to the small delay when starting to pedal for the motor to kick in, but after going for a good ride I was amazed at what a difference the pedal assist makes. It basically makes bike riding a joy, I did not realise just how much I did not really enjoy riding a bike before.
Over the next couple of days I went for two 18 mile round trip rides and which I would never have done on my old bike but once you are on this bike you ride quite a distance and just think ‘oh I will just go on a bit longer’ as you feel really good and are enjoying the ride. You no longer worry about any hills you used to struggle up as this bike makes them a breeze.
One major thing for me is how fast you ride this bike with the pedal assist. I did not realise just how slow I would ride my old bike. The speed with the pedal assist is normally 15 mph on the flat and going up hills is still around 11 mph so the journey time is less than half of what it would used to be.
You can still get a good work out with the ride as it just depends how much effort you want to put into it.
It says the battery will last 35 miles. I did over 40 miles and the battery indicate it still had about a third of the charge left. I do still put a bit of effort into pedalling up the hills as I would assume this is where most of the power from the battery would be used.
The way I would describe riding one of these bikes is the difference between thinking about going out for a hard sweaty run, which never is appealing, to going out for a nice enjoyable walk.
The only thing that gets sore is my bum as I am not used to riding a bike for such long distances.
This bike is a life changer as far as bike riding is concerned.

I live in a rural location in North East Scotland which is quiet hilly. I have reciently swapped my racer for this Expedition e-bike and have not had so much fun in years.
I never expected to be cycling to the golf course with clubs on my back, doing 18 holes and looking forward to the uphill bike home…… and it always seems the wind is in my face on the way home?? Not a problem…. locals think I’ve ‘lost it’.
The bike turns heads too……
last 3 days has seen ‘wall to wall’ blue skys andFiona, my wife and I, I have been on more country roads than ever before…… its turning out to be the best weeks holidays we’ve had in ages… My daughter thinks its like ridding a Broom Stick in a game of quidditch.

hi, I bought the bike 2 weeks ago and have rode it every day since, it is the best thing I have bought in years. the place I live is very hilly and this bike has been fantastic, if you are not sure about buying an electric bike look no further this bike is great looking and does the job. the hills by me are 16% and I go up with ease, the battery seems to last forever too

The Eco Expedition has got to be one of the best buys when considering an electric bike,, both from the quality build and value for money. We purchased the bike for my wife, so she could keep up when tackling those long steep inclines. Makes cycling an enjoyable experience when tackling those long steep inclines. The controls and operation of the electrical dynamo is smooth to operate. Only had the bike a couple of weeks, but have put the bike through its passes and it has passed with flying colours. Found the bike to be lighter than my previous mountain bike. Looking to purchase a second Eco Expedition for myself. Don’t want to be left behind!!! Will be in touch soon Myles

All i can say is…WOW…
this bike is fantastic…it rides well and was really easy to build up …as long as you follow the instructions its a doodle..i did it on my own …and I’m thick …
as for the ride well i did replace the seat for a comfy big bum one and its now a joy to ride.
my father in law has a cyclamatic and when he saw mine and had a go with the throttle he was amazed by the power .
I can only say …get one …or get 2 if you can afford it ..you will not regret it .

I have had my eco expedition for around a month now and am very happy with it, defiantly a purchase well made. It looks and feels like a standard mountain bike unlike other e-bikes out there. Also very reasonably priced. I spent hours online searching and tried a number of different bikes out but none of them looked or felt as nice as the eco expedition (without having to pay a small fortune)
On the weekend I rode for 20 miles without the assistance turned on, no problems, in fact it was a nicer ride than my old mountain bike. I have only had to charge the battery once since purchase.
Delivery was prompt and Myles was very helpful when we had a query regarding the bike.
Since purchasing I have done more miles in the last month than i have in years and have explored some of our local bike tracks that i never even knew existed,
Will definatley recommend to friends and family

I got my bike on Tuesday built it Wednesday, not too hard a job as i have built many bikes over the years, i have already modified it with a different saddle, adjustable handlebar stem and wider bars, fitted road only tires (puncture proof) as i would not want to take the rear wheel out on the side of the road, i then rode it home from my works (about 9 miles) over Portsdown hill it is quite steep but the bike got me up it at 15mph which i cannot normally achieve on the level for too long, (it’s my age) it took about 45mins to do, on my normal bike it’s about an hour plus lots of puffing and panting, i haven’t stopped raving about it to my customers all day, the quality of the bike overall seems good shame about using washers for spacers in the rear wheel, make the job over fiddly, but i will get some spacers made to replace them, i will do some more miles on it to see if it lives up to my expectations, then do another review later, having spoken to Myles on several occasions i found him most helpful and friendly, it was a pleasure to do business with him.

I recently purchased one of these bikes, and I am delighted with it. It does everything it is claimed to do. It is true that you need a bit of help to assemble the headset (someone to hold the parts in position whilst it is being assembled), and I understand why the company recommends employing a professional bike mechanic. However I think anyone who is mechanically minded will be able to follow the excellent instructions without difficulty. The bike is of high build quality and is very good value for money indeed. Most e-bikes are at least £2000, so the pricing of the Eco-Expedition bike means it is a viable option for the many people like me who could not, or would not, spend that sort of money. I live in a rather hilly part of Exmoor, and it is so nice to be able to go out for a ride without feeling completely exhausted after the first 10 minutes! Well done Expedition Bikes, this is an excellent product and I am very happy to recommend it.

I have been cycling the same route to & from work now for 20 years but over recent years less frequently because of 2 factors , hills & age . I had toyed with the idea of converting my existing bike but whilst searching online I came across Eco Expedition E bikes. What drew my attention was that it resembled a “bike” . Having read a number of reviews my mind was made up.
I’ve had the bike a number of weeks now and haven’t been disappointed at all . It rides great and I have used the pedal assist only on the climbs. I had to chuckle a number of days this week as I pass people on their bikes going up hills. Would recommend this bike to anyone.

Great customer service from Myles. The Eco bike is very good. I managed to get 28 miles out of a 35mile (36v 10ah) battery, only peddaling upto speed and letting the motor do its assist thing, with peddaling all the time you do get the 35 miles, im 17stone and i think thats great milage for a heavy person like me. Hills are fluid and actually a pleasant surprise how easy they are to go up. the whole bike feels sturdy and the brakes are superb. motor assist very effective in head wind.
Brian Curtin –
Great electric bike and superb value for money.
The twist and go feature is great for pulling away at traffic lights and roundabouts, which is ideal for city commuting. As for the battery it seems to have a long range, but the furthest I have done is 27 miles and it still had well over half the power left on the gauge.
It’s a good quality frame and both the brakes and gears perform well, certainly for what you’d expect in this price range.
My only gripe would be the ‘rattling’ caused by battery as you ride at quick speeds on not so good cycles paths and roads. A simple cam buckle strap fitted to the bike that would ‘tie down’ the battery might help.
Darrell –
Fantastic service all round from this company.
The product is brilliant, a joy to ride.

I’m so happy with this bike, I’ve owned it for a month now and everything about it is fantastic, incredibly lightweight, battery life and power far exceeds the other 2 electric bikes I’ve owned in the past (which were good quality bikes) and it this just goes on forever, this bike is in a class of its own. Stylish looking and a very comfortable ride and can’t believe how light it is if I put it on my car bike rack. I’ve used it daily including 3 coastal bike rides so far (all over 30 miles each) and the battery still has loads of power left.. If you’re looking for an electric bike I don’t think you will find better than this.

As I recently lost my driving licence I needed a new mode of transport.
After looking at what Electric bikes were available for £1000 or less I decided on the Eco Expedition.
I am not a natural cyclist, but after one ride on this bike I was very impressed with the performance and how easy it is to ride, as I live in a place with hills to reach my house the bike performed faultlessly and I did not even puff when cycling up the hills.
I am an Engineer and I am very impressed with the performance and quality of the bike which is exceptional, all parts fit and work very well and the frame is superbly welded.
All the fittings are very good and the specification of the bike including Disc Brakes was one of the key issues I considered when I decided to by the Eco Expedition.
The bike was easy to assemble with very good instructions,

I am lucky to have my office close by Eco Expedition, so I went for a test drive first and then purchased the bike and assembled it myself. It’s quick and easy to put together and simple instruction are on this website.
The bike itself feels and rides just like a normal mountain bike and even looks like one with the battery resembling a water bottle.
Once you start peddling the motor kicks in and you can add revs from the twist grip to accelerate quickly, then its just a matter of peddling a little or if you want not at all on the flat.
The great thing about this bike is that whilst you have the support of the motor you also do some peddling so it gives you some exercise but the motor is there whenever its needed to boost you up hills and make the whole experience very relaxing.
I’d recommend it to anyone, even those who think they want an ordinary bike as it can double up as both and you will never regret having that extra power when needed.
Andrew
Paul –
Having not done a great deal of exercise for many years I decided an ebike would help get me back into exercise again. It seems like a lot of money for a bike but I think its extremely good value for the quality of bike you receive. The bike is very stylish and the motor just helps you out when needed rather than taking over the whole experience. I have used the bike for over 30 miles now and have only used 2 of the batteries 5 light indicators therefore the battery for me lasts much longer than the estimated 30 miles. I hadn’t ever built a bike before and the instruction make it sound complicated but if you are ok following instructions its pretty easy and only took about 20 minutes to build.
Steve –
very good looking bike, very light and easy to use. suspension works very well and the power assist is very quick. I do tend not to pedal as much now ;o)
Bike does need to be build by a professional as the bearings are hard to secure in. other then that the other parts are easy to fit, all tools supplied.
I would recommend this bike to anyone.

Had the bike a couple of weeks now and am really enjoying the experience.
I have been thinking about an e-bike for some time but certainly didn’t want something that looked like Miss Marple would ride. After doing a web search and seeing the weird designs and prices I had almost given up. Then I came upon your website. I liked the design, the specs, and even better the price. It took me all of 24 hours to decide to buy.
The power assist is perfect as there are some steep hills where I live and I was getting tired (!) of having to get off and walk. Now I don’t even consider if there’s any hills I just choose a destination and go.
This is the third mountain bike I’ve owned and with the power assist off I would be hard pressed to tell the difference with this one.
Keep up the good work¡

This bike is out off this world.words can not describe the good quality of this bike. No more arching legs up steep hills. The battery last a long time. The customer service off the gentleman I purchaced the bike off is best ever. So genuine. If you wont a good value for money ebike. Buy this one.you won’t be disappointed 100% with quality and price. Not a person for writing reviews but thought I had to on this occasion bike very good value for money very well built. I bought this bike to use occasionally but I’ve used it nearly every day it’s brilliant even without power on very easy to use .with the power on hills are no problem. It’s a change to be at the front when I’m out with kids.if your thinking of buying an electric bike I can recommend the eco expedition. Thanks myles for great communication. also very easy to put together.

This weekend I had good trip with the new bike. I am starting to get familiar with the electric assistance, which is simply to use, but one needs few miles to understand exactly how it works. The bike is just exactly what I need. I feel the strong effort by cycling, which is good – providing that I am working in office and tend to be sedentary, but when I need consistent help for a long climb for instance, or to keep high speed in opposite wind conditions I have it straight a way. Good part too, the electrical assistance doesn’t surprise you when get on while you cycling, it comes without shaking although you can feel the traction. However, the shimano parts play a good role, even without electrical assistance. They are well balanced with the bike, so the gear shifting and general riding is smooth and easy. I feel big improvement comparatively with my previous bike, which wasn’t very cheap one. I strongly believe that the bike worth’s every penny and I am very happy with it. Marian.

Fantastic bike I suffer from a back injury this has got me cycling again the service I got from mules was outstanding. Thinking about getting the wife one if you are looking at getting a electric bike you can’t go wrong with this bike.

The Eco Expedition is my second electric bike. My first outing on it left me feeling a little unsure. I soon realised, however that my uncertainty was the result of rider error, rather than the bike itself. Unlike my old ebike the Eco Expedition introduces the powered assistance gradually (not too gradually you’ll be glad to hear). This helps reduce wear on the motor. You do of course still have the throttle to twist should you need an instant boost on a busy road. I love this bike now. I’ve been scouring the web for some time to find a bike that matched all my wants. Firstly it needed to have a hubbed wheel that was removable. This bike has that. Surprisingly there are very few on the market that have this feature. Servicing will now be much easier. Secondly I wanted an ebike that didn’t look like it had been made in the 50’s. This bike looks modern. So many ebikes seem to use old fashioned frame designs for some reason? Thirdly I wanted my new bike to have a normal wheelbase, which basically means I need the battery locating on the frame rather than behind the seat post. My old bike has the latter positioning. It lengthens the bike and makes it pretty cumbersome to wheel around. Not so with the Eco Expedition. The battery is placed where the water bottle goes. You won’t need water as you won’t be working as hard ;-). Lastly I wanted dual disc brakes. They’re better in the rain. And I wanted mechanical, not hydraulic. Again, something I can service myself when the need arises. This bike has that. I’d have been happy with seven gears but got twenty one. I’m getting used to that too and have found the extra range very useful on certain parts of my daily commute. The bike looks great and rides great. I recently had a minor niggle with a brake sensor but that was soon sorted via email. In fact Myles even phoned me to explain before sending the email that got me back on track. Good after-sales service is something you always hope you’re going to get when splashing out your hard-earned cash on a new bike, a new anything. It’s not always guaranteed. More than any of the above I’m glad I went with this bike because of just that. Myles won’t just sell you a bike and then disappear into thin air. He always replies to any queries and is quite obviously a fan himself of the product he’s selling. I’m glad someone finally got an ebike out there that ticks all the boxes.

We caravan most weekends and the bike has had a lot of interest from our fellow caravaners. Thank you Myles for all your help, will recommend you and your product to anyone Thanks Again!!!

After struggling to ride my normal mountain bike through ill health I decided to try an electric bike .I searched and found the ECO EXPEDITION.and how glad I did.it is a well made bike it looks realy smart and most of all it has given me a new lease of life. I can now go on trips 10 miles each way with no problems and still got plenty of life in the battery so once again a big thankyou to myles and the team. would recommend to anyone thanks again .steve

I’d been tempted by the idea of an electric bike for some time, however I was unable to find any E-bike that looked any good, not to mention reasonably priced. I came across Eco Expedition bikes on Facebook and was surprised that there was an E-bike that still looked and felt like a normal mountain bike while being decently priced.
I spoke to Myles at Eco Expedition and he was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. When i took delivery i wasn’t disappointed; It was packaged well, delivered on time and very well built.
I’ve only had it a week now and am more than happy, and itching for Summer!
I’m not generally one to leave reviews but I wanted to say a big thank you to Myles and the team at Eco Expedition for their help, advice (and patience on the phone when I was trying to work out the battery, sorry Myles!!!). They’re head and shoulders above the competition in all aspects!
Thanks again

Only used for first time today rides as good as a normal bike was very good on hills very little effort needed and quite quick on a flat surface
Front suppension was a bit hard but a will have a look at that later.
I can not give a review about battery life yet as ive only done about 10 mile so far.
I will post another review in about a month when i have had more time on bike as i will be using it daily for work but i am very happy so far.also the bike mechanic who assembled bike was quite impressed and says its very well built and good value for money.
